Rats make wonderful pets!

These kind of rat shows - the virtual kind - are safe for your pet rat!

Promote your pet rat at schools, clubs, functions and by word of mouth without exposing your rat to other people's rats. Always quarantine new additions before introducing them to any rats you already have at home.

Pet rats are not vaccinated.  They can easily contract the SDA Virus (Sialodacryoadenitis) and pass it on to others!  Take the time to inform yourself and others of the risks involved and, together, we can do our part to stamp out SDA!

Exposing your pet to other rats through swapping, shows or different environments, where other rats are present, is risky and could lead to your rat getting sick - or worse!  Many unfortunate animals have had their lives cut tragically short as a result of this epidemic.  Don't take chances with the animals you love!
